Department of Agricultural Extension & Communication

The Department of Agricultural Extension & Communication was established in 2019. As one of the pioneering departments under the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, it has played an instrumental role in advancing the university’s mission by fostering academic excellence in the field of Agricultural Extension and Communication in accordance with the guidelines of the University and the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). The department has been actively contributing to the B.Sc. (Hons.) The Agriculture degree programme by providing students with a strong academic foundation in Agricultural Extension and Communication. In addition, the department facilitates experiential learning programmes such as the Rural Agricultural Work Experience Programme (RAWEP), Student READY Programme, field visits, village attachment programmes and other practical training activities to enhance students’ professional competence, communication skills and field exposure.
