About the Career and Counselling Cell
One of the policy decisions in the UGC XIth Plan provides for establishing the Career and Counseling Cell in Universities.
The objective is to support students in developing soft skills and communication abilities to face competitive tests
and on-the-job training in add-on or vocational courses.
Accordingly, the Career and Counseling Cell of Rajiv Gandhi University was established with the appointment
of its Coordinator on 2nd June 2011.
Activities of the Cell (2018–19)
Progress Report – Career Counselling Cell
The Career Counseling Cell (CCC) started on 21st August 2012 with an objective to offer educational counseling
to postgraduate students of Rajiv Gandhi University. Its aim is to help students redefine their passions, develop employability
skills, and understand competitive examinations relevant to current job markets.
CCC has organized 9 skill-based training programmes conducted by expert professionals from state and national levels.
Over the last seven years, it has emerged as a leading centre for vocational training and skill development in Arunachal Pradesh.
More than 6000 students have benefitted, and 2000+ students have secured placements in private and government sectors.
Workshop Training on Aptitude, Soft Skills & Career Counselling (May 4–6, 2018)
A three-day workshop under CCC, RGU was organized in collaboration with Career Launcher, New Delhi, at the Department of Education.

The workshop aimed to train postgraduate students to face competitive examinations and develop confidence for interviews
in both corporate and government sectors. It included 10 skill-based practical sessions and was attended by
around 50 participants from various departments.
Employability Skills & Career Counselling Workshop (April 29–30, 2019)
A two-day workshop on Employability Skills and Career Counselling was organized by CCC (RGU) in collaboration with
Career Launcher, New Delhi, at the Department of Education.
